Worth School District 127

New Enrollment Information

2017-2018 School Year

New and Transfer Students

Enrollment for new and transfer students is handled at the Dr. Rosemary Lucas Administrative Center throughout the school year. For students who wish to enroll in the district for the beginning of the 2017-2018 school year and who were not enrolled in the district in the 2016-2017 school year, the enrollment process can be completed in August. Staff will be available to answer questions and help parents/guardians complete the required paperwork during summer business hours. No advance appointment is necessary. Please note the following:

Residency

Parents and guardians must be legal residents within the school district's boundaries. Parents and guardians will be required to prove residency before a student's enrollment is completed. Board of Education Policy 7:60 (Residence) and 7:60 AP-2 provide regulations and information regarding residency. In particular, Administrative Procedure 7:60 AP-2 (Residence) provides information on the documentation that will be required at the point of enrollment for proof of residency. Kindergarten Students

Students must be age 5 by September 1, 2017 in order to be enrolled in kindergarten. Board of Education Policy 7:50 (School Admissions and Student Transfers To and From Non-District Schools) states the age requirement. Click on the link below to obtain more detailed information.

Transfer Students

Parents of students who are transferring from other schools must arrange for the transfer of student records and must present a letter of good standing. The Illinois State Board of Education form must be used. Additional regulations concerning transfer students are contained in Board of Education Policy 7:50 (School Admissions and Student Transfers To and From Non-District Schools).
