Welcome to Worth School District 127’s Remote Learning page. On this page, you will find information that will help you and your child during the district’s Remote Learning.

If you have an issue that this page does not address, please send an email to help@worthschools.org with all the details of the issue you are experiencing, and also cc the student’s teacher on the email.

Clever

Clever is the homepage for all students and provides single sign-on access for a number of apps used in the district.
Also, students in 2nd grade and below use Clever badges to log in to their Chromebooks by holding up the badge to the webcam.

Google Classroom

Google Classroom will be the main way that teachers will interact with students during Remote Learning.

For parents trying to help students get in to Google Classroom, there is a Google Classroom icon on every student’s shelf on the bottom of the Chromebook screen, or you can go to classroom.google.com.  You can find more information on joining a Google Classroom class here.

The teacher will need to provide the invite link or class code so that the student can join the Google Classroom.

Google Meet

Google Meet is the way that students and teachers can have live videoconferencing contact with each other.  Your teacher will let you know if you have any Meet sessions scheduled.
If you have performance issues with Google Meet, try these solutions:

  • Limit video quality to 360p.
  • Minimize use of Grid or Tile View.
  • Close other tabs or applications while on video.
  • Turn off your camera in Meet when not actively participating.
  • Ensure Chromebooks are plugged into power when using video conferencing wherever possible.
Limit video quality to 360p.

Return to Learn Plan
Since this Return to Learn Plan’s release, the decision has been made to start the school year fully remote with no in-person learning.  However, this Return to Learn Plan will still help you prepare for what will be required of students during Remote Learning.
